Creating Foodware from Renewable Resources
Polylactic Acid (PLA)
Polylactic acid, or PLA, is produced from dextrose, a natural raw material derived from plants such as corn or sugarcane. Products derived from renewable sources are easier on the environment, as it lowers the carbon footprint by needing less fossil energy.
100BIO™ PLA FOAM PRODUCTS
100BIO™ foam is made from polylactic acid, or PLA, which is produced from plants such as corn or sugarcane. In addition to being completely compostable, non-toxic, and raw-material conservative, our products are also great for use. They are heat + cold resistant, microwavable, and cut + leak resistant.
Our products are free from harsh chemicals, heavy metals, and carcinogens. After useful life, 100BIO™ foam can be recycled, incinerated, composted, or even converted back into lactic acid.
